Bio
My name is Phoebe (b.2002), and I’m an artist from Wales, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. I work primarily within painting and performance. I’m interested in the differences between insideness and outsideness, darkness and beauty, movement and stillness. Despite the disparity between the two mediums I work in, I am always aiming for my work to be a system for sharing knowledge and research and being generous with my personal findings. These research interests form themselves into recurrent themes in my work: relationships, femininity, and history. Beyond these themes, I find that my work is always founded in my personal experiences, and an interest in the emotional life, symbols, and dreams.
